Europa League star Daryl Horgan will go under the spotlight again in Dublin tomorrow with Newcastle United the latest club linked with the Galway native.
But a batch of Championship clubs, including Aston Villa, Ipswich, Reading and Preston, will also watch Horgan in tomorrow's FAI Cup final, while three MLS clubs are very keen to land the 24-year-old.
Horgan could use the Cup final against Cork City to cap off the biggest week of his career which saw him land the Players' Player of the Year award, earn a call-up to the senior Ireland squad and also score his first goal at European level, in Thursday's 2-1 loss to Zenit in Russia.
Horgan is keen to add a Cup medal to his collection but a number of scouts are headed for the Aviva where Horgan and Dundalk team-mate Andy Boyle will be watched, along with Cork's Sean Maguire and Kevin O'Connor.
Newcastle, riding high in the Championship, have already studied Horgan but Villa and Preston are also in the hunt for Horgan, who is also wanted in the USA.
Boss Stephen Kenny was today preparing his players for their second big game in just four days, after that big effort in St Petersburg. "We've got to dust ourselves down and find the energy to find it from wherever," said Kenny. "To be cup champions again, to do the double double, we've got to find the energy."
