keane opens barretstown talks series

Irish sporting legend Roy Keane will be interviewed by Today FM's Matt Cooper live in the Olympia Theatre tomorrow on his long and action-packed career with Manchester United, Celtic and Ireland, as well as his current management role with the international team.

The event is part of a new series of Barretstown Talks hosted by the children's charity. The series will see leading figures from the world of sport, culture and business engage in in-depth conversations about their lives.

Keane is expected to talk about his beginnings with Cobh Ramblers, his time with Nottingham Forest, Manchester United, Celtic and Ireland, and finally on to his managerial career with Sunderland, Ipswich and Ireland. Audience members will be given a rare opportunity to pose their own questions to Keane on the night.

All proceeds go to Barretstown, which provides therapeutic recreation programmes for children with serious illnesses and their families.
