Kavanagh helps Saints go through
WATERFORD UNITED 0 ST PATRICK'S ATHLETIC 3
THE brilliance of Daryl Kavanagh helped St Patrick's Athletic progress in the FAI Ford Cup at the RSC last night. Kavanagh put Pat's in front on 17 minutes, after Kevin Burns produced a top save, the ball broke to Kavanagh and he had no difficulty heading home.
Kavanagh then outpaced the Blues defence three minutes later and beat Burns with a classy finish. The Blues tried to get back in the game but when Kenny Browne handled on the ground Stephen Bradley put the penalty away on the 47th minute to seal the game.
