Finn Harps announce signing of former Celtic winger Paddy McCourt
Ex-Celtic attacker Paddy McCourt has been announced as Finn Harps' newest signing ahead of the start of the Airtricity League Premier Division.
The Donegal club start their campaign against Cork City on Friday night, and according to the team's Twitter account, where the move was announced, McCourt should be available for selection.
The 33-year-old played for Celtic for five seasons, winning two SPL titles, and has also won 18 international caps for Northern Ireland.
Since leaving Celtic in 2013, McCourt has played for Barnsley, Brighton, Notts County, Luton Town and Glenavon.
“Paddy is a very experienced player who we hope will be big asset to us for what is going to be a very tough season," Finn Harps manager Ollie Horgan said.
"Here at home he has played with top Premier teams like Shamrock Rovers and Derry City before going to Celtic, which is a huge achievement and won Scottish League and Cup titles. He also had a lot of experience in England with sides like Barnsley, Brighton, Notts County and Luton Town before moving back to the Irish League with Glenavon for the first part of last season."
