Play-Off, first leg

Monaghan Utd v Bray Wnds Gortakeegan (7.45)

Monaghan United know they are just two steps away from a return to the Premier Division.

Mick Cooke's men will feel they did the hard part by winning away at Waterford on Monday night and will carry the feel-good factor of that result into this clash. The Seagulls look to bounce back from their 1-0 defeat to Galway United on Monday without two key defenders in Adam Mitchell and Dave Webster, who are suspended.

Having reached the EA Sports Cup final and the FAI Ford Cup semi-final, the Ulster side are confident in knock-out situations, and while they have a good away record this season they will want to take a lead to the Carlisle Grounds for Monday's second leg.

Cooke is without Barry Clancy -- out on a one-match suspension -- but is hoping Karl Bermingham will return. Bray travel without Mitchell, who was sent-off at Terryland Park, and Webster, who got an extra two games for his red card against Sligo.

Verdict: Home win
