Carey shows youngsters how it's done to secure fightback victory for Bohs
Bohemians 4 Shelbourne 3 (AFTER EXTRA-TIME)
Tuesday May 05 2009
Graham Carey may be much older than most of his team-mates in the youthful looking Bohs side fielded by Pat Fenlon but the on-loan Celtic winger was a class apart as they fought back from behind to claim an extra-time win over Shelbourne.
The 21-year-old winger made Bohs' first two goals and showed his coolness under pressure to score a late equaliser to make it 3-3 and take the tie to extra-time before his deep free evaded everyone to put the Gypsies through on 111 minutes.
Mark O'Brien opened the scoring on four minutes but the home side were level eight minutes when Mark Hughes who finished well.
Jason McGuinness put his side ahead before the break only for Paddy Madden to equalise. The Reds were then ahead through a David McAllister penalty before Carey worked his magic.
