Published 28/10/2011 | 05:00

(Carlisle Grounds, 7.45)

  • Go To

League form: Bray LDLWW, Dundalk LLLLW

Match odds: Bray 10/11, Dundalk 12/5, Draw 12/5

Referee: A Kelly (Cork)

Team News: Goalkeeper Darren Quigley (elbow) misses out for Bray, while Sean Houston (groin) and Chris Shields (ankle) are doubts. Ross Gaynor returns for Dundalk, but Eoghan Osborne, Stephen Maher and Marc Griffin are out and Johnny Breen and Stephen McDonnell are doubts.

Talking Point: All Dundalk can do is close the gap on sixth place Bray to one point in what might be Ian Foster's final game in charge. Pat Devlin will want to see his side finish on three wins in a row.

Verdict: Home win.

Derry City v Bohemians

(Brandywell, 7.45)

League form: Derry DWLWD, Bohemians LDDWL

Match odds: Derry 4/9, Bohemians 11/2, Draw 11/4

Referee: T Connolly (Dublin)

Team News: Derry are without the injured Stewart Greacen and Gareth McGlynn, while Kevin Deery and Ryan McBride are suspended. Eddie McCallion and Shane McEleney are back after injury. Bohemians could be without Killian Brennan and Aidan Price who have been struggling with injuries.

Talking Point: The Candystripes once dreamed of a league title, but finishing the campaign looking forward to European football is an impressive result in their first season back in the top flight.

Verdict: Home win.

Drogheda UTD v St Pat's Ath

(Hunky Dorys Park, 7.45)

League form: Drogheda LLWLL, St Pat's WDLWD

Match odds: Drogheda 5/1, St Pat's 1/2, Draw 5/2

Referee: R Winter (Wicklow)

Team News: Stephen Quigley and Brian Gannon join long-term absenstees Jack Flynn and Colin O'Brien on the sidelines for Drogheda. Stephen Bradley is suspended for St Patrick's Atheltic.

Talking Point: Mick Cooke has done Trojan work in charge of the cash-strapped Louth club and their progress has been steady. St Patrick's will reflect on another season that tailed off coming into the final weeks and a win here would do little to cheer up the Saints.

Verdict: Away win.

Shamrock Rvs v Galway Utd

(Tallaght Stadium, 7.45)

League form: Shamrock Rovers WDWWW, Galway LLLLL

Match odds: Shamrock Rovers 1/25, Galway 33/1, Draw 10/1

Referee: A Buttimer (Cork)

Team News: Craig Sives is suspended for Rovers after his red card on Tuesday, while Galway will be without Jonny Keane (knee) and Victor Collins (achilles tendon), while Alan Murphy, Eric Holland, John Egan and Ronan Caldwell might not be risked ahead of the promotion/relegation play-off.

Talking Point: Tuesday's win over UCD means the Rovers' faithful will be in party mode against Galway --and if the Hoops are in the mood, this one could provide a cricket score.

Verdict: Home win.

Sligo Rovers v UCD

(The Showgrounds, 7.45)

League form: Sligo WWWLW, UCD WWWLL

Match odds: Sligo 1/6, UCD 12/, Draw 9/2

Referee: P Sutton (Clare)

Team News: Darren Meenan is suspended. Ger Barron (foot) is out, while Sean Harding and Graham Rusk (both calf) are doubtful. Sligo's Gavin Peers misses out through suspension, but the hosts have no other worries.

Talking Point: The Bit O'Red will be looking to remind Paul Cook of all the reasons he should stay on the north west coast against a UCD side who expelled plenty of effort in a proud performance on Tuesday night. Cook wants a high points total and they would finish on 73 with victory.

Verdict: Home win.
