Bohs facing tough task

IT'S the clash of the inevitable contenders and the unlikely pretenders as champions Bohemians take on St Patrick's Athletic at Dalymount tonight.

While it may be a little too early to pronounce the Saints as a team capable of taking the title for the first time in 11 years, Pete Mahon has overseen a miraculous turn-around since last September.

Bohemians v St Pat's Ath

(Dalymount Park, 7.45)

Last result: Bohemians 2 Linfield 1, St Pat's Ath 0 Sporting Fingal 0

Betting: Bohemians 8/11 St Pat's 10/3 Draw 9/4

Referee: D McKeon (Meath).

Team news: Bohs are without Steven Gray (ankle) while Anto Murphy (shoulder) is doubtful. Pat's expect to have Damien Lynch (thigh) fit.

Talking point: Bohs will be hoping to gain outright leadership as the top two meet, but they face a tough test as St Pat's have yet to concede a goal.

Verdict: Home win.
