Bohemians kept their European hopes alive after picking up maximum points in an entertain affair at the Brandywell.
Bohs striker Ismahil Akinade was a handful a few weeks ago when these sides met at Dalymount Park and the big front man was at it again last night.
Akinade broke the deadlock after just 60 seconds, turning the ball home after breaking the offside trap.
Derry levelled on three minutes when Ciaran O'Connor headed home Mark Timlin's cross.
Akinade added a second on 24 minutes, nodding home Jake Kelly's corner.
Minutes later, Barry McNamee equalised. In an amazing first half Bohs took the lead for a third time, this time through Kelly.
Akinade should have completed his hat-trick on the stoke of half-time but he was denied by Ger Doherty.
In the second half Quigley and Stephen Dooley both were inches away from scoring as City battled vainly to rescue a point.
