Charlie Mulgrew v Nikica Jelavic
Mulgrew strolled through Celtic's 3-0 Old Firm win last month in the midst of an impressive run in central defence but his hesitation contributed to John Sutton's opening goal during a 2-0 defeat at Motherwell on Sunday. Croatian striker Jelavic is also seeking atonement, despite his weekend double against St Johnstone, after missing the target with several decent chances during the Parkhead defeat.
Scott Brown v Maurice Edu
Brown could find himself back in central midfield in the absence of the suspended Joe Ledley and his success in keeping his determination at legitimate levels will be crucial. Edu and his team-mates struggled to compete with the likes of Beram Kayal in the previous derby and will be looking to provide more energy and accuracy in the middle of the park.
Gary Hooper v David Weir
Hooper is a certain starter up front for Celtic following his recent double against Rangers, when his pace, sharpness and finishing prowess proved too much for Weir and his fellow defenders. The 40-year-old was rested at the weekend following a bout of food poisoning and will be determined to defy those who wrote him off after he was left standing by Hooper for the opening goal.
