KELVIN WILSON v MIRKO VUCINIC
Published 12/02/2013 | 04:00
Montenegro forward Vucinic is expected to shake off a knee problem to spearhead the Juventus attack and will provide an all-round threat to Wilson and his fellow Celtic defenders. The 29-year-old former Roma striker is equally adept holding the ball up or running at defenders, and has skill, shooting power and an aerial threat. Former Nottingham Forest centre-back Wilson has been much improved this season, although he might miss the calming influence of Efe Ambrose, who is not expected to start following his return from Nigeria's Africa Nations Cup win.
SCOTT BROWN v ANDREA PIRLO
Pirlo is the hub of the Juventus midfield and the 33-year-old showed he had lost none of his ability to influence a game when he inspired Antonio Conte's team to an unbeaten Scudetto success last season before guiding Italy to the Euro 2012 final. Brown will be tasked with harrying the former AC Milan midfielder, who helped to knock Celtic out at the same stage six years ago.
GARY HOOPER v ANDREA BARZAGLI
Hooper will have the perfect chance to add to his growing reputation when he leads the Celtic line in front of a world-wide audience, with England manager Roy Hodgson expected to be in attendance. Two clinical finishes against Spartak Moscow helped Celtic into the last 16 and he possesses the guile, movement and execution to trouble Juve. Barzagli was part of Italy's World Cup-winning squad in 2006 and the 31-year-old combines strength and skill in the Juventus back three.
