Teenage striker Ivan Toney has revealed he has had to contend with some homesickness since his summer move from Northampton to Newcastle.
Toney left the Sky Bet League Two Cobblers, his home-town club, for the Magpies in August and has since had one Barclays Premier League run-out - coming off the bench against Chelsea - as well as making two substitute appearances in the Capital One Cup.
The 19-year-old told BBC Radio Northampton: "It was my first time away from home.
"My mum's not there to do everything for me, so I've got to be a big man for myself.
"The football's obviously a bit different tempo-wise but I've managed to adapt to it and I'm enjoying it."
Regarding homesickness, he added: "(There has been) a little bit, (and) missing my family a lot but other than that it's all right."
