Bosnia striker Eden Dzeko was red carded for pulling down the shorts of a Greek player last night.

The former Man City man received his second yellow card following the bizarre incident in the 79th minute when he clashed with Sokratis Papastathopoulos. Dzeko was bundled to the ground, grabbed his opponent's shorts and pulled them down around his ankles. The Greek man also received his marching orders for his part on the malee.

Dzeko was furious at the referee's decision and speaking after the 1-1 draw in the World Cup Group qualifier, said: "I got a red card for no reason, I don't know why.

"The referee says I started the whole thing, but I was the only one ending on the floor, so how could I have started it?

"I feel like losing 3-0. Greece didn't deserve this point. They didn't even deserve a 1-0 loss, they deserved to lose 4-0."
