Republic of Ireland boss Martin O'Neill was very unimpressed after he was asked a question about the vacancy which has emerged at his old club Aston Villa with the news this evening that Remi Garde has left the Birmingham club.
Remi Garde left Aston Villa by mutual consent on Tuesday night after just three wins in 23 games in charge since joining in November.
Villa are bottom of the Barclays Premier League and set to be relegated to the second tier for the first time since 1987.
O'Neill, who has just watched his Ireland side draw 2-2 with Slovakia as they continue their preparations for Euro 2016, was asked for his reaction to the news of Garde's and if he would see himself in the Villa hotseat again in the future.
"I have a job to do here, I am delighted with the job... how dare you ask me that tonight," he said with a smile tonight during the post-game press conference.
Roy Keane was assistant manager with the Birmingham club for a time during Paul Lambert's time with the side and O'Neill was asked about the prospect of the Corkman leaving the Ireland set up to take the reins at Villa Park.
"If he leaves tomorrow I'll be very disappointed," he added.
