Martin O'Neill is on the verge of signing a new contract as Ireland manager, according to John Delaney.

Last month, the FAI announced that O'Neill and Roy Keane had reached agreements to extend their current deals for the 2018 World Cup qualifying campaign and Delaney insisted it was only a matter of time for it to be signed.

"There's no issues about that," Delaney said. "I always felt that he was going to stay with the Association but I was happy that, just before we left, we agreed all the terms. I spoke to Martin last week, the contracts are there to be signed and it's only a matter of myself and Martin meeting up to sign. I would say in the next week or so, the next time I meet him, but everything is agreed."
