OECD says Fifa to be held accountable for workers rights violations in Qatar

In an official assessment of the Swiss NCP of the OECD it has been concluded that FIFA is to be held responsible for worker rights violations as specified by OECD guidelines.

FIFA as a multinational organization was found to be bound by the aforementioned guidelines and thus is to be held accountable for the mistreatment of workers in Qatar.

The assessment is a result of a complaint submitted “Building and Wood Workers International” (BWI), and will result in further investigation and mediation between the two parties.
