Ireland have moved up one place to 24th in the latest FIFA World Rankings.

Ireland haven’t played a match since beating Austria in a World Cup qualifier last November, but their upward move comes off the back of games at the African Nations Cup last month.

Martin O’Neill’s team get a chance to make further progress when they host Wales in a vital World Cup game at the Aviva tomorrow fortnight.
