Ireland bowed out of the Women's U-17 European Championship finals by earning a deserved 0-0 draw with Group B winners Holland in the Czech Republic.

Ireland had the better of the chances, but found themselves on the back foot in the closing stages when goalkeeper Rachael Kelly made a number of great saves.

Jessica Ziu, Sadhbh Doyle and Carla McManus all went close to giving Ireland the lead before the Dutch took control.

Coach Dave Bell said: "I'm delighted for the players. They've been brilliant throughout the whole tournament and improved with every match. For them to earn a point against the group winners is great."

IRELAND - R Kelly; L Grier, S Doyle, T Toland, T Ruddy, A McEvoy, M Mackey, H Payne, D Fahey, C McManus (I Atkinson 68), J Ziu.
