FAI monitoring promising teenager dubbed the 'new Delle Ali'

The FAI are hoping to convince one of the hottest properties in the football league to throw his lot in with Ireland.
According to a report in the the Irish Sun, the association has learned that Coventry City attacking midfielder James Maddison qualifies to play for Ireland through a grandparent.
The 19-year-old has scored four goals already this season, including this belter below against Chesterfield last month:
Spurs are leading the chase for the Coverntry-born player, who has never featured for England at underage level.
The club’s head of recruitment Paul Mitchell and scouting adviser David Pleat watched Maddison in the defeat to Burton Albion at the weekend and are likely to be prepared to loan him back to the League One side for the duration of the season., in the same manner in which Spurs purchased the services of Delle Ali from the MK Dons in January, 2015.
