Inter prepare €60m Toure bid
Inter Milan manager Roberto Mancini is planning a major bid for Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure, according to reports in Italy yesterday.
Mancini worked with Toure at Manchester City and wants to make the Ivorian his marquee signing of the summer.
The move looks more likely to happen after it emerged that Inter's sporting director Piero Ausilio met with Toure's agent Dimitri Seluk to discuss the transfer.
It is believed that Inter would be willing to spend in the region of €60m for the 31-year-old.
And Mancini had this to say on who Inter would look to sign at the end of the season: "In the summer we'll sign a top player, because we are Inter, a top team," the Italian manager said.
"I like [Torino's Matteo] Darmian, James Milner's contract is expiring - he'll decide what's best for him.
"Toure is a City player, [Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk's] Yevhen Konoplyanka and [Genoa's] Mattia Perin are both good players. Piero Ausilio is working on it."
Meanwhile Celtic manager Ronny Deila will try to persuade Jason Denayer and Manchester City to extend the centre-back's loan deal next season - but Hearts captain Danny Wilson is also among his defensive targets.
Denayer made his full international debut in Belgium's 1-0 European Championship qualifying victory in Israel on Tuesday night, coming on as a substitute after Vincent Kompany was sent off.
The 19-year-old also faces competition from Kompany at City, and Deila would welcome another season-long loan arrangement. (© Daily Telegraph, London)
