The 21-year-old netted 26 goals last season to help the Clarets to an unexpected promotion and was voted Championship Player of the Year.

Ings also won his first caps for England Under-21s and has been consistently linked with a move away from Burnley this summer.

Other Premier League clubs and teams in Europe have been rumoured destinations, but Ings told Clarets Player: "I don't understand why it has gone crazy on social media and the like.

"I signed a four-year contract when I came here and obviously I still have a year left. I don't feel there should be any panic. I am just enjoying my football and going into my last year of my contract.

"As far as I am concerned, Burnley Football Club and the Premier League is where I am, 100 per cent. Everybody knows I enjoy playing for Burnley Football Club. It's a fantastic family club and I am not looking to leave."

Ings is currently with his team-mates at a pre-season training camp in Austria, and he believes Sean Dyche's side can hold their own in the top flight.

He said: "We were such a fit squad anyway but to come back this year as we have shows that the lads really want to have a right go and mix it with the best players in the world.

"One thing I know is we will work as hard as we can from start to finish and just try our best against the top teams, and hopefully we can surprise a few people.

"And the way the lads look, and how hungry they look, I think we will do that."
