Hearts served with a winding up order over tax bill

SCOTTISH club Hearts have confirmed they have been served with a winding-up order over a tax bill of almost £450,000.

Britain’s Revenue and Customs submitted the petition in the Court of Session in Edinburgh.

Hearts say they are attempting to negotiate a payment plan with the tax authority.

The matter is unrelated to a £1.75million HMRC bill which Hearts are challenging at a tax tribunal.
