COBH RAMBLERS have a mountain to climb in the second leg if they're to secure promotion to the First Division for next season.

The visitors took the lead against the run of play 10 minutes before the break. Daryl Horgan's cross from the right found Mikey Gilmore and he drilled home.

Cobh had the lion's share of possession in the second-half, but couldn't fashion a decent chance. They had one final opportunity in the last minute of normal time, but Jonathan Spillane's header from a corner went harmlessly over.
