Fernanda Lima sends twitter into a frenzy after World Cup draw

The World Cup draw was one of the most eagerly anticipated sporting events of the year but presenter Fernanda Lima stole the show in the Costa do Sauipe, Brazil.

The Brazilian beauty immediately began trending on twitter as she was beamed to the four corners of the world.

The 36-year-old was co-hosting the World Cup draw along with members of Fifa, and special guests such as Ronaldo, Pele, Zidane and Hierro.

There was a similar reaction when Charlize Theron hosted the draw for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.

However, Lima has found herself at the centre of a row in Brazil.   Just four days before the draw a Sao Paulo prosecutor opened an investigation into possible racism by soccer's world governing body.

A Sao Paulo state prosecutor has asked FIFA and the company it hired to organize Friday's draw to explain why it chose Lima and  her husband Rodrigo Hilbert to present the televised show instead of two darker-skinned actors.
