Fans feel Donovan's face fits at Goodison
Landon Donovan has been left stunned that Everton supporters have started a campaign on social networking site Facebook in the hope he will remain stay at Goodison Park.
The midfielder (28) is due to return to Los Angeles Galaxy next month following a loan spell. Since his arrival last month, Everton have become the Premier League's form side with victories over Chelsea and Manchester United.
Tonight, Donovan is expected to play a key role when the Toffees face Sporting Lisbon in the Europa League holding a 2-1 advantage.
Regarding the fans campaign, Donovan said: "I was not aware of that; it's pretty funny. Since the day I got here, the fans have been fantastic."
Everton defender Phil Jagielka has been included in the squad to face Lisbon at Estadio Jose Alvalade. The 27-year-old has not featured for the first team since rupturing the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee against Manchester City last April.
Meanwhile, Fulham manager Roy Hodgson makes one enforced change for their trip to Shakhtar Donetsk. Full-back Nicky Shorey is ineligible so Ireland's Stephen Kelly will play in defence, as he did for Fulham's 2-1 first-leg win.
