The talented playmaker was carted off just eight minutes into the clash at Portman Road and was reported to have been in serious discomfort and required the administration of oxygen by paramedics.

Independent.ie understands that the midfielder has a double leg break that will rule him out of this summer's European Championship.

The incident is said to have occurred when the 27-year-old shipped a heavy challenge for Ipswich’s Luke Hyam, who was duly cautioned.

Judge made his Republic of Ireland debut in last month’s friendly against Switzerland in light of his stellar form at club level and would have hoped for another chance to impress Martin O’Neill in next month’s warm-up game with Holland.
