Vincent Kompany makes silly jibe over Northern Ireland's national anthem

Injured Belgium captain Vincent Kompany rather tastelessly made light of Northern Ireland singing God Save the Queen as their national anthem this afternoon.
Perhaps Vincent Kompany just isn’t adequately informed about the shared history of the island of Ireland and England, but it might do him good to get a second opinion before tweeting incendiary statements.
Northern Ireland kick started their Euro 2016 campaign today against Poland in Nice and, as is customary, sang God Save the Queen as their national anthem.
Evidently, Kompany thought it was funny to ask what would transpire were Michael O’Neill’s side to play England.
Judging by some of the responses he received Kompany was one of the few people to find the query humorous
