The most expensive tickets for supporters attending group stage matches cost €145 at face value. Tickets were exchanging hands in Bordeaux city centre for more than €300 yesterday.
Meanwhile, tickets were being advertised online at excessive rates last night due to huge demand from Irish and Belgian supporters. More than 100,000 fans are following the Boys in Green at Euro 2016, but the capacity at the stadium for tomorrow's fixture is just 41,000.
The FAI was officially allocated 7,000 tickets for supporters by the European football governing body UEFA.
While the association was allocated a small amount of extra tickets, demand still outweighs supply. UEFA is warning fans to only buy tickets from official vendors and suppliers. Buyers have also been told to bring photo ID to gain entry to stadiums.
Brian Kealy from Lucan was looking for a ticket last night. "I would kill for tickets at this stage," he said.
