Chelsea netminder Thibaut Courtois was involved in a bust-up with Belgian boss Marc Wilmots following their side's 2-0 defeat against Italy on Monday night, according to reports.
Courtois was scathing in his criticism of the tactics deployed against Antonio Conte's men following the loss.
‘We were outclassed on all fronts,’ Courtois said in quotes reported by Sportwereld. ‘Tactically, technically and organisationally we came up short.’
His comments did not sit well with his manager and according to reports on BeIn Sports, the pair became embroiled in a 'furious altercation' on the flight back to their training base on Monday night.
The row could see Liverpool custodian Simon Mignolet upgraded to the starting line-up for the crucial clash with the Republic of Ireland tomorrow in Bordeaux.
