Beginning Thursday, June 9, TV3 will broadcast Extra Time, weekly live show co-hosted by Off the Ball's Joe Molloy and Kristeen O'Sullivan, to compliment their coverage of Euro 2016.
Extra Time has been billed as a football entertainment programme which will feature all the latest news from on and off the pitch in France. Furthermore, celebrity guests will pop into the studio each week to give their take on the European Championships and discuss the fortunes of the Boys in Green.
Some of football's famous faces will name their best ever 5-a-side team plus take a look back on some of the greatest Euro moments of the past.
Speaking about the upcoming TV3 series, Joe Molloy said: “I’m really delighted to be working with TV3 across the Euros. We're hoping to reflect all the excitement that comes with Ireland being at a major tournament. We'll be joined by some great guests and the plan is basically to have fun and enjoy ourselves. I hope people can join us across the month.”
Co-host Kirsteen O’Sullivan said: “Summer is usually a long wait for the season to start isn't it but thankfully not this year! The entire country will be glued to the euros for the next month, it's all we'll be talking about and this show will be essential viewing for you if you want to keep up to date with all the banter surrounding the tournament. For those of us pining to be in France, this is the next best thing. We've got some brilliant guests lined up and the craic's going to be mighty.”
