They stopped at a station just outside Le Mans this afternoon.

The three men are all originally from Mayo Abbey in Co Mayo but have been living and working in separate parts of the world for the last number of years.

They reunited in Manchester, where Jason is living, last week before driving down to Paris for the game.

Derrick travelled from Perth in Western Australia for the tournament.

Jason said: "It's been extraordinary, it's been amazing, non-stop. The Irish fans have been amazing."

Jason is doing most of the driving and they are keeping themselves entertained with good conversations and a "heated debate about Brexit".

"The journey is good, we've got some stations that play English music so that's good."

They are heading to Nantes from Morlaix and then on to Bordeaux.

Paul said: "We haven't been together like this in a long time. That's nice."
