Eto'o grounded by 'small change' spat

Cameroon captain Samuel Eto'o and his international team-mates refused to travel for a friendly against Algeria this week, protesting over the non-payment of appearance money promised to them by their national federation.

The dispute centres on a €25,000 appearances bonus for each player -- not that the world's highest paid footballer Eto'o will miss it, given that he creams in €420,000 a week at Anzhi Makhachkala -- netto.
