League form: Dundalk WWWLL St Pat's DWWWD

Match odds: Dundalk 17/10 St Pat's 6/4 Draw 11/5

Referee: D Tomney (Dublin)

Team news: Eoghan Osbourne (fractured tibia), Stephen Maher (groin), Stephen McDonnell (knee), Jason Byrne (hamstring) and Michael Hector (knee) all miss out for Dundalk. Shane Guthrie, meanwhile, is unavailable as part of the loan agreement between the clubs. Conor Kenna and Derek Pender are out for the visitors.

Talking point: Everything seemed to be going so well for Dundalk, but Friday's shock derby defeat to Drogheda was their second on the trot. Manager Ian Foster needs to get some of his injured players back in action sooner rather than later and they won't want to face the flying Saints this evening.

Verdict: Away win.

Shamrock Rvs v Derry City

(Tallaght Stadium, 8.0)

League form: Shamrock Rovers DWLWW Derry City WDLWD

Match odds: Shamrock Rovers 7/10 Derry City 4/1 Draw 12/5

Referee: R Winter (Wicklow)

Team news: Midfielder Chris Turner is a slight doubt for Shamrock Rovers having got a knock to his back during their victory over UCD. Derry welcome back James McClean from suspension, but he'll do well to get his starting place back after Stephen McLaughlin impressed on Friday night.

Talking point: The Candystripes were so open against St Patrick's Athletic on Friday night that goalkeeper Ger Doherty needed to be outstanding. The Saints couldn't take advantage, but the more clinical Hoops are more likely to punish them, so Stephen Kenny's men will need to tighten things up at the back if they are to get a result.

Verdict: Home win.
