Double delight for David Meyler as he signs new deal at Hull and welcomes a new baby girl
David Meyler has signed a new two-year contract extension at Hull on the same morning that he welcomed a new baby daughter into the world.
Meyler's current deal was scheduled to expire at the end of the season but will now be at the KC Stadium until the end of the 2017-18 season.
"I'm delighted to extend my stay here," Meyler told the club's official website.
"Now that everything is sorted, I'm looking forward to concentrating on making sure this Club wins promotion back to the Premier League."
It was double delight for Cork native after the arrival of a baby girl this morning.
Meanwhile, former Republic of Ireland international Kevin Foley has joined Ipswich Town until the end of the season.
Foley has been without a club since the end of last season after a six-month spell with F.C. Copenhagen in Denmark.
He earned eight Republic of Ireland caps and was infamously left out of Ireland's Euro 2012 squad at the last minute.
