TOTTENHAM Hotspur rejected Birmingham City's increased offer of £9m for Roman Pavlyuchenko last night and demanded to recoup the £13.9m that they paid for the Russia forward.

Lyon have failed to sign Anderson on loan from Manchester United. Alex Ferguson is thought to have been prepared to let the midfield player leave on loan.
