SEAMUS COLEMAN says that the Ireland squad would relish a European Championship showdown with England if tomorrow's draw pitted them together.

"We played them in a friendly at the end of last season and we did quite well," said Coleman. "It would be a game most of the Irish lads would enjoy.

O'Neill will watch Coleman, James McCarthy and Aiden McGeady in action for Everton at Stamford Bridge today before going to Nice.

Assistant boss Roy Keane will travel after taking in Burnley's Championship meeting with Nottingham Forest. Andy Reid and Simon Cox will be on show for the latter, while Keith Treacy will be pushing to get into the hosts' starting team after hitting the target as a sub against Bournemouth last week.
