Ciaran Clark starts against Greece but Hoolahan is on the bench

ASTON VILLA defender Ciaran Clark will win his third cap for Irelandin the the friendly against Greece tomorrow night..

Giovanni Trapattoni has opted to name the 23-year-old ahead of Darren O'Dea who came in for criticism during the humiliating 1-6 reverse against Germany last month.

Clark will partner John O'Shea in the centre of defence behind a two-man centre midfield of Glenn Whelan and James McCarthy. Robbie Brady and James McClean will start on the wings while Simon Cox is to partner Shane Long up front.

Norwich City attacker Wes Hoolahan starts on the bench but is set to be introduced at half time having been guaranteed 45 minutes by the Italian manager.

The Ireland to play Greece is as follows: Westwood, Coleman, O’Shea, Clark, Ward, Brady, Whelan, McCarthy, McClean, Cox, Long.
