CHELSEA will consider offers in the region of £20m for the £50m Fernando Torres who has failed to impress at Stamford Bridge.
The £150,000 a week striker has scored just three Premier league goals since he moved from Liverpool last January.
Chelsea considered lending him to rebuild his shattered confidence but have now decided to sell, according to today’s Daily Mail.
Torres was the most expensive player in British football history and Chelsea will have to take a huge financial hit on their acquisition.
The 27-year-old World Cup winner did not even get off the bench against Manchester City in Monday night and is third choice behind Didier Drogba and Daniel Sturridge.
He went 13 games without a goal for Chelsea between January and April when he finally scored in a 3-0 win over West Ham.
He then went nine games before scoring against Manchester United in September.
