Bournemouth will be playing Premier League football next year. That is very much a certainty but don't tell anyone at Charlton Athletic.

Bournemouth effectively sealed promotion to the Premier League for the first time in their 116-year history after victory over Bolton last night, sparking joyous scenes for a club who almost went out of existence in 2009.

The Cherries have a superior goal difference that makes it virtually impossible for the south-coast club to be overtaken by Middlesbrough for the second automatic promotion place as they will need to lose their final match 19-0.

But maybe that can happen...
