Up against a star-studded Real Madrid midfield, the often lackadaisical Toure plodded around the field for an hour before being whipped off by Manuel Pellegrini. With reports already circulating that incoming City boss Pep Guardiola will likely jettison the midfielder in the summer, the Spaniard likely didn't see anything tonight that would change his mind.

Real Madrid beat City 1-0 to advance to the Champions League final and Toure seemed unable to stop the opposition players from getting forward, nor was he effective in attack. The mercurial Man City player often gives out about all the criticism he receives but even he will find it hard to argue with the torrent of abuse that came his way tonight.
