The young attacker impressed for Bayer Leverkusen in their home Champions League last 16 tie against Atletico Madrid last night, even as he couldn't stop Diego Simeone's side from claiming a 4-2 win.

Brandt has been attracting admirers from all over Europe for the last few months, with the Daily Mail reporting that he is on Liverpool's transfer shortlist as well as Real Madrid's.

The European champions had scouts in Germany last night to watch Brandt in action, with both Madrid and Liverpool expected to challenge for his signature in the summer.
