Baptism of fire for Champions’ League new boys Manchester City

Manchester City got a baptism of fire, being drawn against heavyweights Bayern Munich as well as Spanish side Villareal and Italy’s Napoli in today’s Champions’ League draw.
Chelsea were also dealt a tough hand, having to face Euro veterans Valencia, of Spain, and Germany’s Bayer Leverkusen.
In contrast Arsenal, whose Champion’s League season hung in the balance only 24 hours ago, were given an easier draw.
They have been pitched against Marseille and Greek side Olympiakos.
Premier champions Manchester United will be confident about seeing off old rivals Benfica, as well as Basel.
Champions Barcelona will face AC Milan, while Jose Mourinho’s Real Madrid will be up agrainst French side Lyon.
