While most people in Ireland watched RTE's coverage of Leicester against Brugge last night, BT Sport subscribers were treated to another dose of Martin O'Neill's acerbic wit.
The Ireland boss is known to enjoy a dry one liner and he was in top form yesterday as he joked with Rio Ferdinand while analysing the Foxes' 3-0 win in their Champions League opener.
Former centre back Ferdinand was blaming the Brugge midfield for the concession of a goal, which O'Neill pounced on quickly.
"Analysed like a true centre half," he said.
"You are murdering the midfield players. Centre halves, I love it when a goal is scored, they never worry about closing them down themselves, it is the midfielders to be blamed.
"Centre halves, I love it, I really love it. They have an incredible ability to blame someone else for a goal."
Ferdinand laughed along with O'Neill's blunt assessment, with the former Leicester manager proving to be a hit with the viewers during BT's opening group game broadcast of the season.
Claudio Ranieri's men impressed in their Champions League bow, with Danny Drinkwater and a Riyad Mahrez brace already putting the Premier League champions in a strong position to qualify for the last 16.
