Celtic have completed the signing of Norwegian midfielder Stefan Johansen on a three-and-a-half-year contract.

The Norway midfielder is expected to put pen to paper this morning after the Scottish champions iron out some minor details in the £2million deal with current club Stromsgodset.

It’s understood the Norwegian outfit want an initial sum of £1.7m paid up front for their star man with various add-ons based around appearances to follow.

They have also been holding out for a percentage of any future sell-on fee should Celtic choose to cash in on their latest reasonably priced find.

Johansen has passed a medical and shaken hands with chief executive Peter Lawwell who spent yesterday afternoon tying up loose ends in the deal and will be unveiled at a press conference today.

Johansen has six caps for his country since making his debut last year and scored his first international goal against Sweden in a 4-2 defeat last August.
