PACKAGES containing bullets and addressed to Celtic manager Neil Lennon and former Derry City star Niall McGinn were intercepted by staff at the Royal Mail sorting office in Mallusk, County Antrim, last Wednesday.
The packages were posted in Northern Ireland bound for Celtic's Parkhead headquarters.
A spokesman for Celtic said: "It is now a police matter and the club has no further comment to make."
Meanwhile, Shamrock Rovers league title defence ambitions got a shot in the arm yesterday as Michael O'Neill completed three new signings.
The Airtricity League champions have snapped up Karl Sheppard and Stephen O'Donnell from Galway United, while Gary McCabe has joined from FAI Cup winners Sligo Rovers.
All three penned one-year deals after undergoing medicals at Tallaght Stadium yesterday -- while left-back Enda Stevens has signed a two-year extension to his contract after impressing last term.
