Buddies sign Goodwin
St Mirren have confirmed the signing of free agent Jim Goodwin after his release from Hamilton.
Republic of Ireland international midfielder Goodwin has agreed a deal until the end of the season with the Buddies, after making 14 appearances for the Accies this season.
Hamilton manager Billy Reid had been in talks about extending Goodwin's deal, but St Mirren manager Danny Lennon persuaded the 29-year-old, who began his career with Celtic before spells at Stockport, Scunthorpe and Huddersfield, to move to Paisley.
Goodwin is eligible to play for Saints in Saturday's Scottish Cup fourth round tie with Peterhead.
