Brown faces 10 week out
Celtic captain Scott Brown does not need surgery on his broken foot but he still faces up to 10 weeks on the sidelines.
Celtic announced on Friday that the Scotland midfielder would be out for at least six weeks, and possibly more, with a stress reaction in a metatarsal on his right foot.
A visit to a specialist has today allayed fears he would need surgery, which would have kept him out for about three months.
But a statement on www.celticfc.net added: "However, with the extra rehabilitation work required, the midfielder is likely to be out for eight to 10 weeks."
