Bray Wds v Sligo Rovers

(Carlisle Grounds, 7.45)

  • Go To

League form: Bray WWLLL, Sligo WDWDW

Match odds: Bray 7/2, Sligo 8/11, Draw 5/2

Referee: A Kelly (Cork)

Team News: Left-back Iarfhlaith Davoren is still out for Sligo, while Joe Kendrick is suspended for Bray. Adam Mitchell returns after his one-match ban, but Darren Quigley (elbow), Stephen Brennan (calf), Gary Shaw (foot) and Jake Kelly (hamstring) remain out.

Talking Point: Sligo have an opportunity to apply the pressure to Shamrock Rovers and league leaders St Patrick's Athletic, who meet on Sunday. The Bit O'Red are on a high, while Bray are in a rut after their 5-1 hammering by Dundalk on Tuesday, their third defeat in a row.

Verdict: Away win

Drogheda UTD v Derry City

(Hunky Dorys Park, 7.45)

League form: Drogheda LWLWL, Derry DDWDD

Match odds: Drogheda 15/2, Derry 2/5, Draw 3/1

Referee: D Tomney (Dublin)

Team News: Mark O'Brien returns from suspension for the hosts, while Jack Flynn remains out. Barry Molloy (ankle) and Kevin Deery (calf) are both out for Derry.

Talking Point: Derry are a hard team to beat, but Stephen Kenny will want to turn their draws into victories -- starting tonight. The Candystripes have tied more games than any other team in the division but while Drogheda have improved in recent weeks, they shouldn't be able to trouble the visitors tonight.

Verdict: Away win

Dundalk v Bohemians

(Oriel Park, 7.45)

League form: Dundalk LLDWW, Bohs LDLWW

Match odds: Dundalk 11/10, Bohemians 12/5, Draw 11/5

Referee: T Connolly (Dublin)

Team News: Ian Foster is in England completing his pro-licence so Darius Kierans takes charge and is without Eoghan Osborne (tibia) and Stephen McDonnell (knee), while Jason Byrne and Colin Hawkins are doubts. Aidan Downes could make his debut for Bohs after he signed mid-week.

Talking Point: Dundalk look the more formidable side of late. They should have beaten Shamrock Rovers and then scored 11 in two matches against Bray and Galway. Bohs will be harder to break down, but former Gypsy Mark Quigley is in form.

Verdict: Home win

Galway United v UCD

(Terryland Park, 7.45)

League form: Galway LLLLL, UCD LLLLD

Match odds: Galway 5/1, UCD 8/15, Draw 11/4

Referee: N Doyle (Dublin)

Team News: Shaun Kelly has left Galway by mutual consent and Sean Connor has plenty of worries tonight with Sean Kelly (knee), Johnny Keane (knee), Joseph Yoffe (ankle) and Shane Keogh (toe) out and Shaun Maher doubtful. Sean Harding is suspended for UCD and Robbie Creevy is out (leg).

Talking Point: Defeat to Drogheda plunged UCD into trouble but they remain clear of Galway and a win here would keep relegation at arm's length. Neither side has won in a long time and this is a chance to get some much-needed respite.

Verdict: Away win
