Bohs get 24 days to pay up
BOHEMIANS will have until February 7 to reach agreement with Brian Shelley and Steven Gray and avoid a date in the High Court after their hearing was scheduled yesterday.
The duo lodged a petition to wind up the club in the High Court through their solicitor Stuart Gilhooley on Thursday. The club now have 24 days to pay the players the seven weeks' wages outstanding and reach agreement on next season's position, in order to avoid being wound up.
Bohemians expect to be in a position to make an offer to all 10 players who are owed wages next week, but the situation has been expedited by the actions of Shelley and Gray.
The process of a winding up order offers an opportunity for other creditors to pursue monies owed, and Bohs will hope to avoid the courts.
Meanwhile, St Patrick's Athletic last night announced that Ryan Guy has informed the club that he wishes to leave and return to the United States for personal reasons.
