Manchester City have no interest in Benfica left-back Alex Grimaldo, Press Association Sport understands.

Reports from Portugal have claimed City boss Pep Guardiola and his brother Pere, a prominent agent, attended Benfica's game against Braga on Monday to watch the 21-year-old.

But sources have indicated Guardiola was not in Lisbon and City are not monitoring the former Barcelona B player, whose contract reportedly contains a £51million buy-out clause.
